I recently got this snare which is my first copper snare and tuned it up and brought with me to a recording session last night where it just cut through everything and also has a great pop to it. Then listening back to just the drum tracks it recorded very well and I just love the sound and the look of this thing.
It's got the punch I was looking for and more. Very satisfied with it. My 60's Superphonic got damaged in an accident so after 50 some years I had to replace. Great Phat with the ring when I need it. Like having two snare in one. I will continue to watch this RL drum company.
