RL Drums octobans feature 1/4-inch-thick seamless acrylic shells, 45-degree bearing edges, Black low-profile hoops, adjustable tom mounts that fit most L-arm stands, and chrome lugs. They are available in sizes ranging from 6"x6" to 6"x28" and 8"x12" to 8"x18". Unlike larger drums, octobans use shell length to change their pitch instead of diameter. This means longer shells produce deeper sounds, while shorter ones deliver sharper and more focused tones.
